You are well advised to get and use the Black Omega application if you invested a lot of time and money in your sound system and if you want to listen to your music in total clarity. You see, Black Omega is a high fidelity audio player for Windows and Mac that will play your audio tracks at bit perfect resolution.

As mentioned above, Black Omega is available for Windows and for Mac. The Windows installation file is close to 17MB in size. Getting the player up and running on your Windows PC is a standard process: download the aforementioned installation file, run it, go through the instructions presented to you by a setup wizard. The whole thing will go along smoothly and will take little of your time.

Launch Black Omega for the first time and instructions on what you have to do will be displayed right on its interface: “Drag music files or folders here.” Load some music files and they will be presented as a list on the application’s interface. The playback buttons are at the top. Select a track and hit the Play button, or just simply double click it to start the music playback.

To listen to your audio tracks with Black Omega, you need only load them into the application. As mentioned above, you can do this by dragging and dropping music files or folders onto the application’s interface. You can also use the Add Music/Playlist Files or Add Music Directory buttons from the lower left hand side. Double click a track or hit the Play button and Black Omega will start playing that track.

You can play a variety of audio files with the Black Omega application: FLAC, MP3, M4A, M4B, OGG, WAV, PLS, M3U, M3U8, and XSPF. Please note that in order to play these audio files at bit perfect resolution, the player needs Steinberg’s ASIO (Audio Stream Input/Output) sound card driver protocol.

You have 30 days at your disposal to evaluate the functionality Black Omega has to offer. You will have to get a license to keep using the application once this evaluation period expires.

Black Omega, with its bit perfect sound reproduction, is a must have for audiophiles.

Pros

Black Omega is available for Windows and Mac. You will have no problems getting accustomed with Black Omega interface. Support for numerous audio file types is provided.

Cons

Free to use for 30 days.
